the happy home collective
Did you know about this thing that I do?
I buy Really Fun Stuff from my favorite flea markets and antique shops and, if I can bear to part with it, sell it at my Etsy shop: The Happy Home Collective.
I've sold a bunch of really great items and am going to be restocking the shelves, so to speak, for the holiday season! I'm also working on a really fun project with Caroline Maxcy Photography, so you're NOT going to want to miss out on what may be showing up in the shop towards the end of the month. Just trust me on this one!
When we were getting ready for the arrival of our first little one, a friend planning to attend my baby shower asked me if we had a "theme" for the nursery. I thought about it for about two seconds before quipping, "Theme?! Our house is like a flea market. No, we don't have a theme for her room."
And I meant it in the best way!
I love collecting vintage, flea market pieces that bring a warm aesthetic to our home and make it go from liveable to straight up happy. From old paintings of giant chrysanthemums to tiny ceramic birds, I'm always on the lookout for another little piece of whimsy that will add to the treasure.
The Happy Home Collective shop is all the sweet, homey things I adore about our baby girl's room and our house. It's about one more eclectic treasure and the way it fits perfectly on the shelf or in the office.
It's about the stories these old pieces tell -- the turquoise French tin, the green teacup, the busted up coffee table, the old cameras.
And it's about the stories we tell in our happy little homes.
